Project Brief

During my internship at Adobe, I worked on Customer Journey Analytics (CJA), an enterprise platform that helps organizations understand customer behavior across digital and offline touchpoints. My focus was redesigning key administrator workflows to improve visibility into platform health, reduce navigation complexity, and surface critical information more effectively. The project required balancing complex business requirements with the needs of data administrators who rely on analytics to support organizational decision-making.

Problem & Why It Matters

Data administrators were responsible for monitoring platform health, diagnosing issues, and interpreting critical system metrics, but key information was fragmented across multiple workflows and views. As a result, users spent valuable time navigating between screens instead of focusing on identifying and resolving problems. For organizations that depend on customer journey analytics, delayed access to information can impact operational efficiency, reduce trust in reporting, and slow decision-making. Improving how administrators access and interpret system health data became an opportunity to create both user and business value.

Research & Design Decisions

To better understand administrator needs, I evaluated existing workflows, analyzed enterprise dashboard patterns, and collaborated closely with product stakeholders to identify the most important metrics and monitoring tasks. The research revealed three key opportunities: improve information hierarchy, reduce navigation overhead, and make actionable insights easier to discover. I responded by prioritizing high-value metrics, consolidating related information into centralized dashboard modules, and establishing a clearer visual hierarchy that aligned with administrator goals rather than technical system structures. Leveraging Adobe's design system ensured consistency, scalability, and accessibility while creating a foundation that could support future product growth.

Outcome & Key Learnings

The redesigned dashboard concept streamlined access to operational insights and reduced friction within administrator workflows. By centralizing critical information and improving discoverability, the experience enabled users to assess platform health more efficiently and focus on resolving issues faster. This project reinforced the importance of balancing business objectives with user needs in enterprise environments. I learned that simplifying information architecture often creates greater value than adding new functionality, and that early stakeholder collaboration can significantly improve design decisions throughout the product development process.
